Excellent ideas, @estherau, Perpetualrevision!

As a nice side-effect, it might also attract other folks who knew not about SASHA.
I particularly like the idea of handbags/w shoulder straps because I only have a very small collection of those. [rolling_eyes]

Maybe we could collaborate?
You create the models as props, and I convert them to conforming figures? (Because I can rig and weightmap, but can't model besides of kit-bashing).

Concerning the nomenclatura:

  • I think we should refer to it as "SASHA-16 (2019 Edition)" as the full official title used in posts about SASHA.

This name makes it clear that it is in fact a major overhaul vs. just a minor update/error fix.

I thought a lot about a new short for the 2019 Edition (à la Victoria 4.2), but couldn't find a catching designation:

  • I mean, just type "SASHA-16" in Google: (WITH the quotes!)
    Bingo!
  • Now try the same for "SASHA-16/19", "SASHA-16.2", etc:
    Uh-oh...

So it looks like we already have an established brand name, and we should stick to it!

People who download her later will get the 2019 Edition by default anyway, thus I think there's no need to add confusion about versions.

Finally, users always can check their version in the BODY actor:

- VERSION: SASHA-16 - (2019 Edition)
- REV 04-05-19 2200

------------------------------------

Thank you for your thoughts!

I wish I could make things but I am not a modeller. I just saw someone said they were able to make props so the bags and purses are my idea for parented props.
I will definitely spread the word about her though.

Nevermind my friend!

We ALL have our limitations of skills, thus no problem.
Just do what you can (or want to) do; that's already more support than I ever hoped for.

And don't forget that we're here for the fun of it:
Relax, enjoy, and have a beautiful day![cool]

This is not new material-I have always just wondered why...
movement on X and Z is associated with Sasha's 'body,' while movement on Y is linked to the 'hip.' If that is just something I messed up on my machine, don't mind me. But if that is how it is designed, is it necessary? I would rather they be together as I think that would be easier. Daz's V4 has all on hip. Unless it matters I would keep them there, but having them together is more important if that is possible.

Hello @johndconnaughton:

Yes, it's definitely intentional that you can't move SASHA about by simply grabbing the hip.

If you want detailed information about why that is a really bad idea, please read chapter 2.4.1. to 2.4.3. in SASHA's manual.
I admit it's a quite long read , but you'll understand more about posing 3D figures after that.

NOTE:
If you still want to turn this feature OFF:
Go to group "SPECIAL SASHA CONTROLS" in the BODY actor.

  • Set "Movement Control" to "0.000"
  • Set "Allow Hip Horizontal Translation" to "1.000"

Now SASHA behaves like any other 3D figure.
You can translate / rotate the hip and enjoy the odd behaviour caused by it...

Cheers!

Any news about her release. I've let the renderosity crowd know as there is a coincidental vickie sale at daz.

@johndconnaughton:
To see what can happen if you move body or hip along the wrong axes, look at this post:
https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2934419

SASHA's "Movement Control" was designed to avoid exactly this!

@estherau:
I saw the posts, and you're right [cool]
I think it's time to stop "polishing the cannonball".

So I'll probably release SASHA-16 (2019 Edition) this coming weekend.

What isn't finished yet can be delivered in a future update (like python scripts adapted for MAC users, asf.)

Thank you for your support, and for your advertising her!
