It's a most comprehensive list of sites and artists who provide content for Poser.
The huge advantage of this site is that you don't have to wade through thousands of pages and ads for the G thing, or other proprietary 3D formats. Instead, most of the time it leads you straight to the Poser content you are looking for!
The categories of this site will also help you to easily find the content you are looking for.
You should definitely give this a try , and a huge THANK YOU to Earl Clark who made this project a reality!
Someone asked for a morph to get rid of the infamous "Boob Socks" when SASHA is wearing a "second skin" body dress.
So here's a quick and dirty attempt, still in XPerimental stage:
Copy all three files in the attached "XP -No Boobsocks.zip" into a library folder of your choice. It's important that they are all in the same library folder. Which folder it is doesn't matter. (I suggest "runtimelibrariespose!## KARINA'S TOOLBOXTOOLS"
Then load SASHA and apply the morphs.
There are two: - one fixes the cleavage - the other one fixes the "underboobs"
Control them from the BODY, parameter group "Morph" (will be expanded automatically to expose the new dials)
Like this: [[File:f7t48p223n60.jpg|none|auto]]
Let me know what you think of it. Feel free to modify the morphs, and add your improvements.
Happy morphing!
Karina
EDIT 11-09-2017: It just occurred to me: you should set the V4 morphs - BellySmooth - NavelGone both to 1.000 too.
The "Xpression Fairy" Tool v1.0 =======================
Figure(s): DAZ Victoria 4.x & clones, SASHA-16 Program: POSER 9 and up build 01-08-17 2200
[[File:f6t17p21n21.rar|none|auto]]
WHAT'S THIS?
Ever tried to save a facial expression in POSER, using the standard library [+] button?
[[File:f6t17p21n22.jpg|none|auto]]
Then you probably know that POSER will write *each and every single bloody dial* in the head actor into the pose file, thus practically making it a "full head injection". Depending on the "character" you had at the moment you saved the expression, applying the new "expression" file to another character will "inject" the head morph of the character from which you saved the pose from!
Not quite how it was meant to be!
"Xpression Fairy" was made to let you write clean expression files as they were meant to be, without facial shape morphs and other unnecessary dials like scaling. *Only* the expression! No more need to edit the created .fc2 files to weed out the unnecassary junk!
You can even use it to quickly convert and repair any third party expressions which contain face shape morphs or otherwise mess up your character!
"Xpression Fairy" simply strips out all morphs and dials which aren't needed in an expression.
INSTALLATION:
Just copy the contained "runtime" files into your "SASHA" library, or any other library you wish. The files will land in the correct place in your POSER "Expressions" library.
HOW TO USE:
Go to POSER's "Expressions" library > "SASHA Library > ### XPRESSION FAIRY" folder. You'll find three thumbnails there:
- # Xpression Fairy Full - # Xpression Fairy Xpress - # Zero Face (note: Only works if you have SASHA-16 installed. Otherwise use any "Zero Face" pose you have)
The difference between the "Full" and "Xpress" versions of "Xpression Fairy" is the way they load:
The "Xpress" version will load a coloured box only, as placeholder for the "head", and it loads very fast. Otherwise it has the same functionality as the "Full" head.
The "Full" version will load a standard V4 head into the scene, fully functional and with eyes, jaws and tongue too. It will take a little time to load but has the advantage that you can check how an expression looks on a standard V4, and you can also use it for generating a library thumbnail.
# APPLICATION CASE 1:
You have a V4 based character (ANY!, incl. SASHA-16) and have created an expression that is so overwhelming that you want to save it for future use.
- Load "Xpression Fairy -Full-" into the scene. - Select the "head" of your *source* figure, and press [CTRL]-[C] on your keyboard. - Select the "head" of "Xpression Fairy" and press [CTRL]-[V] on your keyboard. "Xpression Fairy"s head should now have inherited the source expression, less the unneeded dials. - Position your camera for the library thumbnail "snapshot" - *IF* you want to create a new thumbnail you should use a "Full" version!) - Make sure that you still have the "head" of "Xpression Fairy" selected. - Write your expression to the library. DONE!
# APPLICATION CASE 2:
You want to convert a bunch of annoying third-party expressions from the library.
- Load an "Xpression Fairy" into the scene. - Position your camera for the library thumbnail "snapshot". - Select the "head" of "Xpression Fairy". - Load the expression from the library. (!FULL version only!): "Xpression Fairy"'s face should now show the source expression, less the unneeded dial - if you want, now is your chance to tweak the expression) - Save the fixed expression back to the library.
You can use the original name or save it under a different name. I prefer the latter.
--> If you want to save by the original names, but keep the original library thumbnail without creating a new one: Open the library folder that contains the expressions you want to convert and set all the thumbnails (.png) therein to "write protected".
# APPLICATION CASE 3 (merchants):
You want to create a set of expressions for redistribution.
- Load "Xpression Fairy -Full-" into the scene. - Use the head to create your expressions. All V4 dials you need are in the head. - Create your expression. - Save your expression. - Zero face and create next expression.
You may use "Xpression Fairy" to generate your expressions for personal use or for retail without any restrictions or royalties. However, a small credit like "generated with Karina's 'Xpression Fairy' " would be very kind.
I hope this little tool is useful to you. Have fun, and keep smiling!
- You can make visible / invisible both the "Xpress" box and the "Full" head. This might be handy if you want to generate your library thumbnail from something else in the scene. Example: Point the camera at your own character to generate your custom library thumbnail. ! Just make sure that "Xpression Fairy" is the active figure when you save the expression file to the library!
- The generated .fc2 expressions will contain the special SASHA expressions too, however they will work on *all other* V4 based figure without problem. Poser will ignore the additional SASHA dial settings if they aren't applicable.
- Point your main camera at your source figure, and the face camera at the head of the "Full" version head of "Xpression Fairy". Now you can toggle quickly between both cameras (or split your viewport) to check and countercheck both faces. Convenient for fine tuning an expression.
- For a consistent look of generated thumbnails make sure that your camera doesn't move when generating or converting a row of expressions. Good idea is to either lock the camera, or memorize it's position.
- You can create your own customized "Xpression Fairy": Apply any texture you want, add hair, or even inject your own face morph. In the latter case the face morph must be in .obj format and loaded in via Poser's "Object > Load Morph Target" menu. Note that the organs in the head like the eyes are locked into place; if they need re-adjustment you must unlock the dials in question before you can adjust them!
Over all the years that SASHA became what she is now, many people helped me by posting their thoughts, ideas, wishes, and critique, though mostly exclusively in private forums.
Without their input SASHA wouldn't be what she is today.
Now that SASHA is made available to the general public (=YOU!) it's up to you to further improve the figure:
If you have any problems using the figure - post it!
If you find any obvious errors that need to be fixed - post it!
If you have any suggestions for features that the figure should have - post it!
If you have any other comments on the figure - post it!
Without *your posts and reports* SASHA will become just one more of the failed figures of the past: Made with best intentions, but a failure not only because, but also a lot due to lacking constructive critique! Instead they were blown to smithereens in the usual "expert" forums before they could even say "quack?"
So I'm trying a different approach: No posts at the usual forums; just ShareCG, and hoping that the word spreads around even before the usual trolls can start to blaze SASHA to pieces. We'll see how this tactic works
Ladies and gentlemen, it's up to you whether we can make this a community project (*community* = YOU!), or SASHA will fail. And then we'll all Use Genesis 99 and DAZ|Studio "88.2.345.6 beta" ever after...
Now that SASHA is out of the door (and hopefully will survive in a world full of trolls and copyright lawyers ), let's have a look at what's coming next for SASHA.
There are several little projects I started but didn't finish because of deadlines on SASHA.
What's probably next to come is a gadget that finally allows you to save facial expressions without the need of editing the .fc2 file afterwards. The problem hitherto was that when you saved an .fc2 from Poser using the standard library function, Poser would actually write a Full Face Morph! Result: If injected into another character it would reset the face to the shape it had when you created the expression. (and *a lot* of expressions in the market have this annoying bug!) My gadget will allow you to create and save clean, correct expression files, as well as fixing faulty ones in your library. This is probably the next to come, together with a set of nice expressions I collected from my own renders and stories.
Furthermore I'm working on a ground prop (plane) of theoretically infinite size which can be morphed and textures with high detail using only a few texture maps. Think of a ground prop with paths, hills, creeks etc. - all textured in great detail with only a few normal-sized texture maps.
WIP: [attachment=19] [attachment=20]
Another project would be a universal hair shader for transmapped hair. It will have real highlights instead of the baked-in ones and gives you almost infinite variety of hair colours. This is actually after an idea by BagginsBill; I'm just trying to make it a little more user friendly while reducing render time as well.
Most of these projects will be of universal use in Poser (even the "Expression Fairy" though it's built specially for SASHA).
No more need to add as a prop or as a conforming figure; just load SASHA and the KarinaVagina MkV is there, ready to use. (or not to if you prefer: It can be hidden completely) It's your choice!
Here's a quick illustrated overview of some of the most outstanding features:
... WARNING: ADULT CONTENT AHEAD! ... By clicking you agree on being exposed to explicit pictures.
?"SASHA-16" was hitherto called "SASHA 2.0". To avoid conflicts in the denomination system generally used for Daz/Poser figures (here: STEPHANIE S1 /S2 etc.), I decided to call the figure after it's first year of production. To further differentiate it from future incarnations of STEPHANIE, I added the dash.
So it's "SASHA-16", or "S-16" for short, or simply "Sasha".
What is SASHA 16?
?SASHA-16 basically is just another version of Daz3D's "Victoria 4" (V4). But she was optimized to make use of the features of the latest Poser versions (Poser 9 / Poser Pro 2012 and later). She has a completely new rig and almost all joints are weight mapped for better joint-bending.
[[File:f6t2p2n11.jpg|none|auto]]
All the cumbersome magnets are gone, some vintage stuff no longer needed was removed and the original "dial groups" were completely replaced with a logical and easy to use concept.
[[File:f6t2p2n12.jpg|none|auto]]
?I also introduced a new concept for posing SASHA which makes it as easy as never before to pose the figure or fix bad click-poses. A couple of switches and parameters can help you to avoid the dreaded distortions made by some bad click-poses too. All this can be switched on or off anytime as you need it.
?You can use SASHA exactly how you used V4.2 before. All "Victoria 4" textures can be applied and all poses and expressions will work. All injection characters can be applied as usual. Fitting hair and clothing isn't a problem either and needs only a few extra clicks.
[[File:f6t2p2n10.jpg|none|auto]]
?To use SASHA, you need Daz3D's Victoria 4.2 installed in your runtime and you also need the "Morphs++" pack from Daz3D. That's all!
Well, *almost all:*
Along with SASHA you'll get an collection of tools and Python scripts that add even more to the functionality of SASHA. They were all custom made for SASHA, making your handling of SASHA a breeze.
[[File:f6t2p2n13.jpg|none|auto]]
I think that you should give SASHA a try if you - like so many others - still have gigabytes of V4 stuff sitting in your Poser library.
