I'll include this in the next download, and it comes just in time for the download package I'm preparing for CGbytes/'Rotica.

(b.t.w., Girl 4 can be injected too, however since this is a rather "exotic" shape which doesn't work too well with the weight maps I didn't advertise it)


About the general morph injection questions, I'm not quite sure that I did understand everything you asked - sometimes my English just isn't good enough, sorry.

I'll try to answer as best as I understand it.


The reason why the Morphia dials appear like they do is the way they are copied by Poser:

Poser will create and copy the morphs for every actor in the body and append them at the end of the morph list. That's why they appear at the bottom of the morphs lists in the body parts.

However Poser won't create the master parameters (a.k.a. Full Body Controls) in the BODY actor. Hence I had to code them into the SASHA base figure already.

But that also gave me the opportunity to set them up in a proper group in the "SHAPE" group, and not just slap them to the end of the parameters list.


As for the other (DAZ and SASHA) morph injections:

A well made injection of multiple morphs should basically do *nothing* to make visible changes to your figure (unless it's a character morph where it should indeed).

All the DAZ morph injections work that way, and I made the SASHA morphs work that way too.
Only when you activate the morphs, either by manually spinning dials, or by using a character injection) the morphs will be dialed in to show a result.

During the SETUP process when they are initially injected into the figure you'll notice no difference except if you look in the parameters palette to see the morph dials appear in the morph lists.
This is how Poser handles it and I can't change that behaviour. Yes a progress bar would be a nice idea!


However, here's a little trick to check whether the injection is in progress:

Immediately after you clicked on the injection, quickly move your mouse cursor back into the Poser UI or the preview window. Now the cursor will change it's shape to the "hourglass" symbol if and while the morphs are loading. It'll change it's shape back to standard arrow when the injection finished.

Well, of course the presence of the hourglass depends on the speed of your computer:
Mine is pretty slow, thus it takes a couple of seconds until the morphs are injected.

As to "where the new morphs are", I tried to incorporate them in my logical order of sorting the morphs.

The downside is that you won't immediately notice the morphs like if they were displayed in a new group.

But you'll soon notice the advantage of the system because now you can use all the morphs made for body parts (and parts of them) in one place without the need to constantly look for them in random places.
It's all there in the specific group, no matter what the source injection is.


Eyes Up-Down and Side-Side:

That's correct, I did disable them and replaced them with the synchronized eye movements.
The reason for that is two-fold:

First, expressions using these dials are never a success because (as you might have noticed too) the eyes always look in a direction which doesn't befit your setup.

Second, with the eyes synchronized (via "linkParms" in the "figure" section) they can't be controlled by a master parameter without going bonkers. In most cases the eyes would go totally out of whack. (a Poser limitation)
Now explaining *that* to the average "click-pose-make art" user

SO I disabled them altogether to stay out of trouble.



Injecting DAZ Morphs like AIKO4, Stephanie 4 etc, and finding the morphs:

When you click any of the DAZ character morphs that come with SASHA, the original DAZ exclusive morphs will be injected (provided you own them already). The only reason why I made my own injection scripts was to have better control over the way the morphs are injected (e.g. preventing DAZ from recreating their native confusing morph groups).
Otherwise the injections work *exactly* the same way as if you used the native DAZ injections.

You can inject the morphs in almost any order you like (and even add morphs at a later time), because the (empty until injection) morph channels are already hard-coded in SASHA.

The only reason why I "sequenced" the morphs in the way I did for the setup process is to make it easier to keep an overview.

AND (and this is the only mandatory thing!) to make sure that the "S-16 Improved Morphs (fixes)" are always injected *last* because they overwrite some of the DAZ "Morphs++" morphs with a better version.



Concerning other (third-party) morphs injections:

SASHA doesn't have a "delicate morph system" as far as third-party morph injections are concerned.
Most of these simply use the "community" channels to inject their morphs. This will work in SASHA exactly the same way as in any regular, standard-to-the-bone, DAZ V4.

You see, the secret of SASHA isn't that she completely changed V4 as we knew her.
SASHA only adds new features to good ole V4. SASHA is still fully compatible with the original V4 in every aspect.

So you can still use any morph injection, expression, texture, hair asf. as you used to do during the last decade.

Because that was a major point in creating SASHA: make it as compatible as possible to standard V4!
Where this wasn't possible straight away (like due to the different rig) I provided one-click scripts.


After a short time you'll become familiar with those up to the point in time when you load a standard V4 and you ask yourself: "Damn! Now look at that mess!"


Wait until you see "Erogenesis"s "Project E", and then let's talk again about getting used to a new figure [rolling_eyes]

The Eyes' control Morph Dials

Well it's difficult to explain.
When you link two dials per "linkParms" you actually have write *two* entries: "LinkParm A with B" and "linkParm B with A".

The trouble starts when you add a third dial to that:
Depending on Poser's internal calculation order it might give you weird results and delayed reaction (e.g.until you dial any of those.
I've been experimenting with every combination for over a week and didn't find a solution. So I finally decided to discard the DAZ control parameters completely by disabling them.

The only reason why I didn't delete them completely was to keep compatibility to existing facial expression injections who use these dials sometimes:
Poser finds those dials and is happy, however it won't make a difference because SASHA ignores the settings.

Considering that 90% of the eye poses in expressions make the eyes look in the wrong direction anyway, I think that's not a big loss.
*IF* someone could come up with a solution to interlink those parameters to work flawlessly, I would be happy to integrate them into SASHA. Until then - HET!


Significance for order of Injections' into Sasha-16

Yes, maybe I over-emphasized this a bit. As said in my last post, inject morphs in any order you like, just make sure that SASHA's "fix" morphs are injected last. (and even if you don't, the original V4 morphs will still work as made by DAZ, though without the improvements)

This is a (still in the making) new figure made by "Erogenesis".
Maybe you'll already know him for his "Lali Bits" genital prop.

Just look in the popular forums like Renderosity, SmithMicro's Poser forum, or Hivewire's forum.
It's all over the place with a million of previews, new feature announcements and rather esoteric discussions about details.

Nothing wrong with that!
I think he's just like you and me when it comes to details - keeps "polishing the cannonball"... [rolling_eyes]

I only hope that the base figure will offer some more options to create bodies that aren't on the chubby side like in most of his previews.

Well, time will tell: let's give this guy a chance before we judge him!
If it's only half as good as he promises it's still to become a great figure.

Unfortunately I don't have these, but I guess they are injected into the "community" channels, which wold make them compatible with SASHA.

Anybody can confirm this?

good to have you here, and glad that you like SASHA.

There is indeed an M4 version of SASHA in the making - that would be MISHA-17.
I already have most of SASHA's functionality in the figure.
The huge task remains to weight map the figure. Others were on that project before, but gave up before even an alpha version was published.

So it might take another year until the MISHA-17 figure is ready.
Because it's not just the weight maps - it need for JCMs to be created, and a lot of other details.

But I'm working on it, and I won't stop.
Because M4 is still the male figure with the most content available for native Poser use, and it's a most versatile figure too.

Have you ever tried to use V4 expressions and poses on M4, and vise-versa?
Try it!
It works, and you'll get a lot of new poses and expressions which need a minimum of adjustments!
