While I'm planning to use the S-16 male morph to create a few male characters (particularly those whose family members are all female, so I can create all the members from the same "base"), I still need to use M4 for a variety of reasons, including the fact that I have a ton of stuff for him! (And Texture Converter doesn't work on a Mac.)

So here's my "wish list" for an M4 version of Sasha:
- the reorganized parameter dials
- the easy posing and other helpful control parameters
- the "looks" for the eyes

I don't think M4 actually needs weight mapping, at least not the way V4 did (and at least not in the way I use him). I also have no need for any kind of genitalia, improved or otherwise.

Is there any chance you might make a more "user-friendly" version of M4, minus the weight mapping? I would gladly pay for such a thing, even by donation! For that matter, I'd gladly donate for S-16! She has spoiled me to the point that I heave a heavy sigh whenever I have to work with any other figure's parameters

I just read through the SR1 "progress blog" thread and saw that you do have plans to work on a "Misha," which is awesome!

I'm wondering, though: if it's the weight maps that cause problems when folks want to use the more extreme morphs, would it be possible to set "Misha" up with everything else EXCEPT the weight maps, and then add those in a separate version of the figure -- so that users could load the non-WM version if they want to use Freak or Creature Creator morphs?

Please add me to the list of those willing to beta-test Misha -- or anything else you make!

Me too. I use M4 the second most often, but it's a distant second. I also make occasional use of Star, Maisie, K4, Mavka, and Nursoda's Vila, Hein, and Aina (and others). I keep getting things for Dawn thinking I might use her too, but I haven't even loaded her in over a year!

Thanks to Renderosity's Prime and DAZ's PC+ membership, I've accumulated so many free and 99cent items for V4 that I could make new characters with S-16 indefinitely!

Ah, I see. I didn't realize that many of the "extra" functions were tied to the weight mapping. I had been thinking you might set up everything else in the Misha CR2 first, before you started weight mapping, and if that was the case, then you might find it helpful to know that some users would be happy with that, regardless of whether a weight mapped version came along later.

But if the improved CR2 and the weight mapping are so closely integrated, then never mind! I will happily (and patiently) wait for you to get Misha up to a level you feel comfortable with releasing! (Or happily use a beta version!)

Update 2/14/19 ... Daz no longer sells TextureConverter2. This inflames my conspiracy brain.

"Instead of converting every single texture each time you can use UVMapper and open up M4's obj. Save this as a .uvs file and then open V4's .obj and apply M4's uvs. Resave that V4 .obj under a different name such as V4M4UV and edit any V4 .cr2 to point to that .obj (there are two instances where the .obj is called in the .cr2). You now have a V4 figure that accepts M4 maps. Since Generation 4 is the same mesh you can do this to M4 and get V4's UVs and even mix up the Kids4 as well. If you want to take it a step further get this handy set http://www.sharecg.com/v/45885/related/1...x-K4M4V4-morphs and now you have .cr2s of each figure that accept morphs of the other. You can further edit copies of those .cr2s to accept the relative maps as well!"
