First of all i would like to say i love working with Sasha !! I never use any regular V4 anymore and to start learning daz from scratch to use genesis is way too steep :)

with the first Sasha16 i had (have) a weird problem : i made a base figure with all the morphs injected (besides the V4 morphs i added extra morphs like i13's etc ...)
no matter if I save as a CR2 or PZ3scene, each time i load this base , some morphdials work, others don't, others have dissapeared..
when i made custom characters i noticed also that different morphs are saved e.g. in the chest actor, one character has a whole list of morphdials like nipple option 1, nipple option 2 etc...)
in another character, in the chestactor, these dials aren't there. (allthough both custom figs where created from the same base-sasha.).

so far i worked in poserpro2012

now i work in poserpro 2014 with the new sasha 2O19 edition. (yes for budgetreasons i can't keep up with buying always latest versions of poser :) )

Here i noticed that e.g. i13 boombone or uniquemorphs etc (manual says to use injected morphs from the body actor rather than the head actor) they only appear in headactor and not in body.

also morphs that should go in body/injectionchannels/community don't appear there. in fact ... only 1 morphdial is displayed. in /community. When injecting a second one, the displayed one gets replaced by the
second injection.

so I was wondering is there a limit or a maximum number of morphs that can be injected on V4-sasha ? if so, can this limitation be surpassed ?

I'm not at all critcizing your magnificent work with Sasha, Karina, but I just don't understand how this happens and how i can save a (custom)sasha character that keeps all injected morphs (and working).

There are only a set amount of morph injection channels, they are divided into daz injection channels and content creator injection channels I think they are named like PBDC_01 , etc for daz and PBCC_01, etc for content creators. (I'm not totally sure if they are those names exactly, but you should get the idea). Usually merchant will use the first availble PBCC_01, etc. for there injection channel so what you are seeing when trying to use multiple character are those channels being overwritten when you inject a new character morph, that is why only the one is showing up.

Thank you RL Owens, that explains a whole lot ! that is indeed what is happening now I see it as you describe. is there a way to get around this that you know of so that all the morphs show up ?
I'm thinking : rename the morphs? create new channels and (re)direct the morphs there? allthough i wouldn't have the slightest clue how to do any of these :)

There is, but it's a lot of work. You would have to open all the injection/show/hide files for the morph search & replace the PBMCC_01 with another channel e.g. PBMCC_02 etc.

Not just the injection poses in the pose folder, but also the ones in whatever morph folder the creator saved the custom morphs in.

Alternately you could also inject the character export obj and reimport as a full body morph for each character, doing it that way I think you bypass the PBMCC restriction as poser will make a new morph channel. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, as poser has the obj problem of splitting the mesh at each group. (This may be fixed when poser 12 is released, no idea). And the character may have extra options by the creator, such as hiding body parts, etc.

thank you very much ! I think i will give the second option a go :) as renaming seems a lot of work indeed. I might give it a go one day when real life stops interfering with my 3D-time :D :D I'll keep on update here on how things go with the OBJ/morphtarget

it is going waaay over my head :) lol

I have created a base sasha in pp2014 with all morphs injected. saved as CR2 as well as PZ3.
from those i've made 2 custom characters . (same texture, same base, ...
one character works well (all morphs) and the other one is missing morphs again and some morphs like breast up/down/in/out don't work.
(in both characters, i notice also differences in chest actor concerning the (breast)morphs) the one has morphs the other hasn't and vice versa.

(besides that, the first one renders ok, the second one has again that glossy plastic look ... )

it can't be crosstalk as i load a new scene, new base sasha and then save the customdialled figure also in CR2 and PZ3

if i take a new scene (even after relaunching poser) both characters load with different morphs vanished and working/not working and render differently.

re-injecting all the morphpacks doesn't have any effect on the nonworking dials, all though missing dials sometimes re-appear (and trhese work)

and another strange thing : my custom characters load as I custom morphdialled them, but sometimes (mostly in headactor) dials are reset to 0.000 (this happens a lot with i13morphs)
thus making it impossible to know which ones i've used in case of adjustments i need to make.

it seems all so random and i totally don't see a structure or regularity in what goes wrong or what happens when ...

(i've also read something about poser not really resetting values of morphs and render when a new scene is launched, but that dialvalues etc are being accumulated.
as a result, some dials have such high values they don't "recognize" the value anymore and stop working. (my own words of what i read somewhere but i don't have single clue if this
is true or what can be done about it)


like i said, this is way over my head to figure out and understand what's happening. :) if anyone sees the wood for the trees, i'll be glad to hear it :) :)
