Generally speaking - yes! *1
However you first must delete the old channels, then inject your own channels, and finally recreate exact copies of the Morph trap channels so that they are once again on top of the morph list.

I wish Poser had a means to be told "insert new channel "X" after channel "asdf". That would not only fix this nuisance, but also add whole variety of other possibilities.
The option of declaring channels as "pre" or "post" transform is a beginning.
However it's still rather a sledge hammer rather than a fine carving tool.


As for the vendors:
From what I've seen from vendors hitherto, no one ever bothered injecting his own custom channels into the figure.
All they did was using the "PBMCC" community channels (which are in SASHA too).

For those wanting to make unique morphs protected against all those using the Community Channels, I've even added 20 "SBC" channels to every body part, and 20 more "SHC" channels to the head.
(see chapter "9.3.3. The SASHA "Community" channels" in the manual.

Of course I'll help any content creating artist if he seeks help.
But to my experience they won't bother.
As Wellington said after the battle of Waterloo:
"They came on in the same old way and we defeated them in the same old way."
Or rather:
"They came on in the same old way and we can't do anything to stop them from doing so."

Or you just decide to ignore the extra hassle and let the morph trap become disabled.
Remember it's a bonus, not a must...
Then at least SASHA would react exactly the same as all other Poser figures on faulty morph injections.

Re. the previous posts about the Morph Trap:
There's a Python Script in the making to fix the "Morph Trap" after injecting new morphs from scratch, which will put the morph trap nback on top of the morph list again.
Nearly finished.
For the moment there's just a tiny problem left:
Poser crashes when I try to run it

That's why I made it.

One question:

• I've already found out the code to delete valueParms : "actor.RemoveValueParameter(parm.Name())" and it works perfectly for valueParms on any body part specified.
• Yet I searched for days to find the equivalent of a hypothetical : "actor.RemoveTargetGeom(parm.Name())"

Just tried; --> error "valueParameter not found"

R. Sesseler did do it, and PhilC too. So there *must* be a way!

Hmmm - that is indeed a ingenious workaround you figured out there!

I'll give it a try this weekend and see what happens.

Unfortunately this didn't work as I hoped.

It would require the user to:

1. inject the first morph batch
2. save a temporary figure, and then reload it.
3. inject the second morph batch

yes, all problems are with the "Default Channel". I can't delete them, only rename.

Here's what I have for now:

(Copy the two attached files to a folder of your choice, then run the script on SASHA in the scene.) (EDIT 18-09-2017: attachments deleted because obsolete. See later posts)

To see how the script works, look at the comments in the .py code.
Grosso modo it does what I want. I think the solution of converting the "Default Channel" to an extra SBM channel is the most elegant I can do for now, and I could live with that.

BUTT ™ :
While it works as expected and recreates the Default Channel right on top of the parameters list,
it DOES NOT do so in the "chest" actor (and only there!).

For some unknown reasons it places it some 55 entries down in the list!


More weird thing:

It works in SASHA-16 as described.
However, if I run that same script on a standard V4 with the Morphs++, the "Default Channel" is invariably added at the END of the morph list, just above the joint parameters (_twisty, _jointx etc.).


(Speculation: Poser somehow remembers that there was a targetGeom before: If it's right he tries to restore it at the old place in sort order (except for the bloody chest!). If there was no targetGeom of that name (Default Channel) before, it just appends it to the end of the morph list.)


B.t.w.:
This ONLY happens with the "Default Channel".
The valueParm "Injection Checker" works flawlessly on *any figure*.


And even more weird:
I just noticed that it works flawlessly on "Dawn"!
Even the Default Channels are created in the correct calculation order!
