The fitting of clothing is a problem indeed (as with all weight-mapped figures and clothing not made for them).
I agree that the morph brush is a fast and efficient way to fix poke-throughs if the underlying body part can't be made invisible.
However, don't forget to use the "320 S-16 Joint Centres" on the clothing! (See chapter "5. Clothing SASHA" for other details).


The figure height:
There has been a lot of confusion over this in the past. But it's so simple to determine the exact scale:

1. Set your units to "metres"
2. load a box from the primitives, drop it to floor.
3. set the yTranslate dial of the box to 2.000 (= 2 metres). By any logic the box is now exactly two metres above the ground.
4. Load SASHA, use the "barefoot" pose and drop to floor.
5. Set her body height.
6. Lower the box until is sits on top of her head.
7. Compare the dials...

As the TOS is all in German, all the legalese was a bit over the top for my meagre knowledge. Maybe you (or any other friendly soul who reads this) could have a look at it for me.

The first one shows the "Foot Bend Tweak" nicely, and the second one shows SASHA's beautiful knee bending I'm particularly fond of.

How did you do the "steamy" blur in the mirror in the first render? Looks almost like a mask because the reflection is sharper in the immediate right corner.

Well, I must say I prefer FKK (nudism, right?) over KKK.

Funny enough, I can't find a trace of the TOS anywhere too. Maybe the TOS was only shown when I registered the board?
Or maybe I just got confused because I tried so many free forum hosters before I found this one, and they all presented me an endless text with TOS legalese that I supposed that this site has it too.

Yes, forumprofi.de is a German hoster, that's another reason why I finally picked this one, and a Swiss email provider (protonmail).
I hope they'll be more reliable and less forbidding than other services (mostly U.S.).

Thank you for your explanation of the render settings; I mainly asked because the "steamy window/mirror" effect would be perfect for a mirror in a bathroom scene, right after a "hot" (pun!) shower. [cool]

What always amazes me in your posts is the amount of extra work you put into them.
I mean, I would have poster a screencap of the Physical Surface, and that's all.
You make two more nice renders, with a plane placed in SASHA's hands showing the screencap.

Makes discussing technical issues way more enjoyable!

You may be right that I'm supposed to make my own TOS.
In this case, the original worriess that "renders of nude pixels in cartesian space" is no bannable offense here, like it is on many US based sites.

About the cramped space in indoor scenes:
Since you're a photographer, you experience the same problems as if you were standing in the real thing with your camera. After all, you certainly couldn't just grab a pick axe and remove that annoying wall.
So what would you do? 35 mm lens to keep distortions under control, and standing as close to the wall as possible.

(OK; I admit taking out a wall in 3d is much more convenient...) :P


But now I know at least that you're a vampire:
You (the photographer) standing in that door isn't visible in the mirror.
Maybe a little nick change might be in order? "VladJ" or "darkImpaler?

When I look at Miki's arms it is obvious that she could need improvements.
However, the problem with all Mikis is that they are distinctively Asian, and it's hard to create anything else with her than Asian characters.
So I'm afraid that I must give this a miss.

My next project will be "MISHA-17" anyway, so there's no time left to deal with another figure.

Your old Praktica camera is a real darling especially with the Pentacon glass and the other accessories!

I still have a "FED-5" in a drawer. Sure it's massively outdated and I didn't use her for almost 15 years, but I still keep her just for the memories.

Just because something is old doesn't mean to throw it away.
With all the acessories of your Praktika it still can compete with any other analogue SLR camera from that time period.

Keep that baby in a nice and cosy place. It deserves it!

Yes there were, and still are many, especially from republics like Kasachstan, and Siberia of course.
But since many of the south-eastern republics became independent there are less of Asians today.
Most of them are contract workers on construction sites, and heavily underpaid.
We call them "tschernoshopiy" which means "black arses.

In Siberia (esp. in Primorskaya Oblast etc,) the population is 40% Russian and 60% a mixture of indigenous races (related closely to "Inuit" or "Eskimos") and many other races like Chinese or Japanese too.
But the vast space in between of the Ural and the Pacific coast, esp. near the Barents sea is still void of people, and inhabited by a few tribes whos' names you probably never ever heard of.


Regarding MISHA-17:
Fact, I also prefer to render beautiful girls.
But sometimes it becomes necessary to add the occasional M4, and if I use the standard M4 he always looks like "The Hulk" compared to SASHA.
I mean: stand naked in front of a mirror and compare what you see to a standard M4: Quite a difference I think...

So what I try to achieve with MISHA-17 is to give you not "The Hulk", but the "Average Joe" figure you see in your mirror.

I'll post my WIP here for general discussion as soon as it's worth publishing.

When I still was a schoolboy in the mid-1970's an uncle of mine had one of them. It was pure luxury compared to other models like Moskvitch or Dacia, let alone the poor little Saporoschetz we had...
